The A40 and the other Farina cars are definitely worth a look for anyone looking at classics of that age.

Ah that’s why I’d have an A40. All the performances bits from a sprite will bolt onto a 40, Besides I have an A series performance manifold somewhere & one of Mr Webbers twin choke carburettors somewhere else. One is waiting for the other.
If you have a look at the Goodwood Revival on YouTube, it won’t take you long to find a few 40’s giving it stink & up against much bigger cars.

Our old MG Midget was a giant killer in Prod Sports racing it was competitive against much bigger and more powerful cars, in classes above it. i
It held many under 1300cc lap records and even won the Victorian State Hill Climb Championship. 
Proof that the basic package can be a force to be reckoned with!
