I am away from home now and can’t have a look at it; but I seem to remember fitting H7s was a breeze and Hb3s far more difficult (or was it the other way round?) specially on the battery side  

You have to modify the rubber dust covers, though. The new bulbs are bulgier and the standard covers have to be enlarged

You get a nicer, whiter and more powerful beam. And for me having a colder bulb means less ageing of the headlamp in the long run

Having bought a new one at B&G I can tell you they are expensive and scarce (at least for a LHS car)
