Having just walked past a junk shop I said to the missus, " we are not buying any rubbish today" then I spotted this.
The only tenuous link it has to MG is it came out of a 1924 Morris Oxford.
It works and tells the time to within 2 minutes every 24 hours, not bad for 100 years of age.
But now what do I do with it ?

I have something similar out of a Riley, if you remember to wind it up it keeps excellent time, but only in 1932.
Once you have found out what to do with it, let me know.
Alternatively you can have mine & use the two to start a National collection.

It looks very well made. Does it need to be wound or is it battery driven?

Should that not read   ....2 minutes every 12 hours??

I think I may have a possible solution.
I have had the Morris sign which is cast iron for some time, I think its a Chinese copy, fairly modern anyway.
I am going to have a hole milled out where the bull sign is and mount it in there.
Voila, a desk mounted clock.
