Hi everyone. My bonnet release cable has snapped at the catch. I found the end of the cable on the floor, completey rusted.  I've tried several suggestions to open it but as yet nothing has worked. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. [/justify]

The release mechanism was rusted & seized solid. In the end it was down to brute force.
