Here is the Small v-link OBD reader I sent you. It works via Wireless, so will not affect bluetooth if you you that to stream music/hands free phone.

It stays in permanently and switches off automatically:

You change the items simply by touching the gauge to swap between readings...

Really useful on the move.... and really really really useful for keeping accurate eye on the coolant temp

SO some of the screens - there is a heap of info here. You can have conventional round dials if you want, but I prefer the digital ones as they are easy to read. Bear in mind this is reset and just sat idling, so the MPG etc is not showing yet...

Hey H,
That is so cool. Thank you! I owe you a tincture or three,
Great pictures and you've solved my problem of where to mount my mobile, as I hate those vent and windscreen mounts.
Is your mount a standard sucker type thing, or did you have to glue the base onto the console side?
Anyway, you've got me really looking forward to having a play. Just need to get Roxy sorted, and I'll be up and running. Roll on Wednesday...
Hope you and the forum gang have a brilliant time at MG Live.
Many thanks again,
Winko

I'll go take a picture of my mount then post up in a minute or so, so hang about. Bought it in a service station... about £3. Robust and just works...

I got one of these from Halfords.. sticky backed with a face for a suction cup stuck it where it's not really noticed (I'm using flash here so you can see it). Only cost £2

This is the holder - suction on one end and sticky stuff on the phone end. Long enough arm that you can rotate/tilt and the holder bit is a ball and socket affair:

The sticky end... really strong this is..

...and with flash so you can see it, the arm is just the right length and fits in glove box when not in use :)

Well well.
I'd never seen the adhesive pad for a suction mount - yet it's so bloomin' obvious :bat:
Will definitely pinch your ideas. Thanks again.
Bon voyage for tomorrow.
