Cambelt cover distortion 8 years 1 month ago #166514

Getting a bit exasperated with all the teething problems after my re build. Mostly due to poor quality and poor design of the original. Starting to loose patience. Latest problem is that the cam belt cover is distorted. I actually replaced the one that was on the car as the belt had worn through the inner cover. On replacement it looked as if it needed an extra bolt at the top forward end. I reassembled it carefully and hopefully but find that I can still hear it rubbing occasionally. It's just a very poor design. Anybody out there come up with a fix for this. You can see the distortion on the attached picture. Pushing on the forward end (right hand side of the picture) to bring the cover parallel silences the rubbing noise.
