Some other comments. The ride on the 215/40 16s is much firmer than the Continentals on 15 inch rims they replaced. There is a lot of feedback via the steering with the Proxes that took some getting used to and would not be to everyone's taste (could be mistaken for being 'skittish') but I'm happy. An advantage running 215/40 all-round is that you can swop front to rear on the same side to even wear.

2, autogrip fronts 185/55-15, bf goodrige 205/50-15 on rear. (Both good performers in wet,dry conditions, not noisy at all!!)

Didn't realize my Toyo proxes 4 were different than most folks on here.
They must be better than the T1R's

Fitted a set of Proxes yesterday got my car back.

Haven't had the car long enough to make a decision . New tyres all round when I bought it.

Japanese Toyo Proxes T1R 205/50/R15 rear, 185/55/R15 front
Toyos if I can get something as good as the Japanese ones

Malaysian Toyo Proxes T1-R 195/50 R15 82V front and 205/50 R15 89V rear at the correct pressures.

These replaced Goodyear NCT 5s and the Toyos are fantastic in the dry and wet.

And only £240 for four fitted and balanced.
