Hi all.. Im not gone.. just hiding..

I pad WIFI busted.. so when im at home Im on my I phone (and cant get the forum to work on my phone)

But have just bought a Mac book.. so hopefully i'll be back to normal.. (normal for me)

What did I miss?

Fingers crossed the car will be fired up this weekend... after 3 years of being in bits.. 3,500 hours building.. and a brand new Hellier/Scholar engine i'll hear it running Saturday night.. hopefully

As usual a lot of custom stuff still being built.. as well as trying to run a busy business..

Still hoping to make it to Live in a semi finished car.. but car with 'pods' on for MGF 20

Great to know everything's ok, and your in the home straight on your build. Fingers crossed it starts first time

As with most of the stuff I ve done.. the engine set up is mostly custom too..

Twin pumps, twin filters, adjustable pressure regulator (running 4 bar fuel pressure)

The ITBs mount via a custom bracket.. thermal gaskets (Ferriday Eng).. Janspeed large bore 4-2-1 and home made heat shield (to shield the silicone coolant hoses)

The emerald ECU (stand alone not piggy backed) is now wired.. Base map loaded.. engine needs 50 hours running it in at ilde.. then 1,000 miles driving (no more than 3,000 rpm) before it can go to Emerald HQ for the proper mapping session

Clutch is bled (Elise parts full braided hose)

Mineral oil in (running in oil)

Gearbox oil in

Brakes to bleed (just waiting on some custom hoses)

Then the interior panels (almost finished) can be flocked and fitted..

New carpet (Newton Commercials) to go in

New heated screen ready to be fitted (getting a pro to bond it in)

95% of the custom loom finished now...

Its almost like a car..

The new 'summer wheels' are off getting red chromed in Leeds at the moment.. then will be wrapped in Federal 595RSR cut slicks (215x45x17 and 235x40x18)

The roll hoops also incorporate rear mounts for the 3 point Sabelt harnesses (clip in type)

This allows me to retain factory seat belts.. but swap to 3 point harnesses in 30 seconds if I wish

Ive had to fabricate suitable mounts for the harnesses (cant cut corners here)

Oh and my new digital dash lands tomorrow from America.. Thanks to Harriet

Its not 'plug and play'... the custom loom and sender units now sorted too..

My new wheels Fox 005 (17 front 18 rear)




Now currently being re-finished in red chrome.. to try to emulate this look (these wheels are $2000 each)

Thought you were a bit quiet! Best of luck for Saturday mate. You must be very excited with just a bit of trepidation eh!
Cant wait to see the finished product in a synopsis and Ill have a Scotch to you with best wishes on the weekend. Dash looks fantastic as well.
