Not having much luck... sods law rules all 10 years 3 months ago #137958

In my attempt to replace brake pads..(a simple job I hear you say) managed to sort my stuck wheel problem with brute force and ignorance (mostly ignorance) and so have the front driver side done...

now another problem... opposite wheel i have a wheel nut that seems to be rounded and the wheel wrench just twists off

my thoughts here are..

cut a slot in the top and somehow try using some kind of screwdriver... prolly result in destruction of the top of the nut and still not work...

or... use an undersized socket .. big hammer it on and remove that way... potentially damage nut even further and still not work

Find someone who can weld? Weld a nut onto the end of the rounded wheel nut..

Done that before with success..

Puddle weld inside the new nut

Drill the nut off 12mm bit ideally a Cobalt bit,but a good HSS will do.Knock the remainder of thread out the spline in rear of hub i can put you one in the post if you dont have a spare.
