Hi today I decided to give rear window (plastic) a clean pushed very slightly and rippa the thing just pushed in stitching as rotten as a rotten thing . So I've gaff a taped it up. Anyone got any ideas how to get a new window as although this zips down it's actually the bottom of the PVC that's ripped away from the stitching of the main roof .

New windows just zip in and rivet onto the bottom bit. There's a how-to somewhere that might be of use.

Here it is:

There's never been a better excuse to go for a glass MGF Mania heated rear screen instead. :yesnod:

Hi and thanks for replies. The How to looks great so I will follow that when I get to the job.

For now my how to and temp fix is as follows

Two rolls of gaffa tape , stick Perspex to fabric job done £2.50 . It's never gonna look good but will do until I get the window or hood replaced. Been out in the pouring rain and so far no leaks ..... Well that is until it starts to peel off!

My fix was to buy a £300 mgf with hood with glass window and full leather interior.
Removed all interior and hood and swapped that to my old TF
Stripped and sold the MGF.

Kept a load of bits and swapped the lot over to my current TF.

Was a long labour of love job :)

Sounds the right and proper route to of gone . I'm just not feeling the love with this car yet to get that much involved ... Seen a few good complete hoods on the bay may take a trip to view a couple , so might go that route . out of interest how much is a hard top any one got one for sale in silver which is colour of car.
