So, what to do...

This is the car as it currently stands.

Two weeks ago I replaced the coolant hoses and fitted a new battery only for the 'F to let me down again three days later.

This time the clutch release arm has seized. This in turn has taken out the slave cylinder, and the clutch release bearing. To sort this will need the rear subframe dropping out along with the engine and box.

I did a lot of work on this car in the summer to get it reliable for the winter so I wouldn't need to lie underneath it and I have no desire to spend more money and freeze my nuts off sorting it if it's going to let me down again. Which at the moment it seems may be the case. The phrase 'good money after bad' springs to mind...

Anyway, do I:
- Stop wingeing and fix it.
- Cut my losses and break it.
- Buy a TF.
- Buy a nice sensible MX5.

Decided what to do.

I shall be buying a sensible daily (probably another BMW) after Christmas and the 'F will be taking hibernation until it's warmer.

In the meantime I shall rebuild my spare subframes that are currently blocking up the garage so that they can fitted when I drop the engine/box and with the garage cleared the 'F can go in it.

See you in a few months/years...
