Seat back adjustment 10 years 9 months ago #124807

Hi,
Drivers seat back adjustment is very very stiff and takes two hands on the wheel to turn it.
I did find that the knob had been broken, the inside piece shaped to fit over the flats on the bar.
Changed it for passenger side but still stiff.
Had a look underneath but can't see any obvious adjustment or lubrication points.

Any ideas?

There are two possible lube points on our seats remove nut washer plastic shim and put some grease in there and then on the adjuster side you can spray some lube in

Thanks for the reply.
I did that but not much better, I was thinking that I could loosen the nut on the far end, or will the rod come out completely for cleaning up and lubing.
Only one way to find out

yes just slacken off the nut in the first picture 1/4 of a turn will probably do it
