Subframe powder coating 10 years 9 months ago #123349

Just a tip for anyone looking to have subframes 'restored'

Remove EVERYTHING before blasting.. even the four mounts.. As the years off corrossion get sealed in and carry on rusting..

This is not very clever.. This subframe was blasted.. and then coated.. with the mounts still connected.. Ive had to cut the bolt through in order to remove the mount.. but look whats underneath..

The other mount then removed.. and yes you've guessed it..

To be fair to the company.. The bolts had to be cut off with a 9" grinder.. and that took about 2 mins.. and the new bolts (M14) are £2.60 each...

Yer I cant figure it out either..
