Just fitted the same last Saturday; no more messing with keys, works a treat.

I recently replaced the boot loom to include a plug and put in a couple of extra cores ready for the remote.

The support bracket was a bit naff so I used some 3 x 20mm mild steel bar and fitted a concealed micro switch near the driver’s door for ease of use; a very practical useful modification.

I bought that kit & it's still in the shed ;)
If you can understand the instructions & do some improvements to the spec. as mentioned, then a good buy.
Bit beyond me :(

I would echo Badgers comment re the support brace itstoo thin I have bought some steel bar to replace it whrn I get time, I also had problems attaching the solonoid as suggested and thought that there was the pottential for it to jam so modded/bodged it, but its still working fine.

Some of the problems I found are covered here in this topic, Modding hope it helps

I wasn't happy with the attachment of the pull rod going onto the release cable so the first thought was to drill another hole in the trigger plate next to where the cable goes and put the rod directly through; however the trigger plate was so hard (possibly carbon steel hardened and tempered) that even a cobalt drill won’t touch.

In the end I made a pre-drilled extension plate and spot welded it onto the trigger plate to give me the exact geometry for the pull rod

Should have taken some photos before I put it back together as you can’t see it in situ.
