Bumper repair filler? 11 years 8 months ago #65284

Having a need to repair my rear bumper due to a couple of 'wife' inflicted scuffs, what filler should I use on the plastic?

I've always used 'P45' type in the past. Is this flexible enough for plastic bumpers?

you can get proper bumper filler from halford.. its black and you mix it the same as you do ordinary filler.. i used it on my saab 9-5 bumper and got a really good finish with it

I had a faux pas with the bike fairing and now't would stick it or to it,

I approached a bike repairers/customisers and there the stuff was quite expensive and small quantity, but super stuff to stick abs, not the brake things, had to miss out on a sticker though, they were even more expensive,
(could have put a picture here but it wern't an MG)
I haven’t lost my marbles they are in a bag somewhere

Hole or scuff?

I've used P40 and P38 without issues..

Make sure you rough the surface up first and clean with panel wipe before starting the reapir

Hi guys, thanks for your advice. P38 it is then.

BTW I've just realised my P45 reference was more likely E45 !! You know the 'hand cream! I wasn't intending to use E45 to fill the bumper... :omg:

I'm not sure if some of the repair techniques here would be of use in fixing a bumper. Worth a look though.
