Hello all,

My father in law has an R reg MGF and the exhaust box has flaked off a thin layer of rust. His question is...how many layers are there on an MGF standard exhaust box?

From previous experience with MINIs, the exhaust has some 7 or 8 layers that slowly flaked and peeled, cosmetically looking awful...but perfectly fine in operation.

i think the one I bought second hand has already lost about 6 layers !!
im going to try getting some 'stuff' (i dont know what yet) to build back up or at least stop the rust further... there might be a small hole to but not sure if thats where rust is or... I didnt care after 36 hours of getting it on my car haha
