Torque is one of the better Android programs. If you also download the track recorder add on you can video your driving and add a map overlay and/or speed etc etc.

I've never actualy got that to work as it doesn't like talking to my computer, but others use it to good effect.

Thanks everyone for the quick and helpful responses. Looks like I'm out of luck then because I liked the look of the bluetooth reader attached to Torque on my Andorid phone. Looked like fun.

I guess I'll wait until I get a problem and then think about lashing out for a T300.

Thanks again.

BTW - great forum! Already fixed my sloppy gear lever among things thanks to the useful info here

Is there any issue with leaving the Bluetooth transmitter permanently in the OBD2 socket?

On the TF it has been left plugged in for the last 6,500 miles, I also bought one for our Suzuki GV which has also been left plugged in for the last 3 months; both with no issues.

agree, several monitors are designed to be connected permanently, I wouldn't expect any issues.

I've left mine connected but have had an issue with re-connecting a couple of times.

It usually send to be when I've been connected and then removed the Android phone (Nexus 5) from the car & taken it out of Bluetooth range with Torque still "live". It wouldn't see the OBD2 reader next time I tried to use it then. Unplugged the OBD2 reader & refitted it and the phone connected up no problem.

Other than that, it's been great & faultless.

Thanks chaps.

My daughters old phone is due for upgrade soon so I wondered about using her old hone to run Torque Pro all the time in the back ground

I have adapters in my MGF and my Rover 25. They have been in there about 18 months and I have had no issues
