The top 5 all time favorite cars you have owned

What are your favorite top 5 cars you have ever owned and why?
Mine.....

1st My current MG TF 85
2nd 1968 MGC GT
3rd 2004 MG TF 160 Sun storm
4th 2002 MGF
5th 1968 MGB GT

I enjoyed owning, using has an every day car and attending meets and shows in my classics but my favorite classic ever was pipped to the post by my current TF 85. She has a fab ride (for a sports car) and she really does turn heads has much has my classics did. Even today, while parked at Sainsburys she was getting looks and we received several complementary remarks from passers by.
One couple we know thought we had won the lottery and the car was worth £40,000!!!!

My C GT looked like new when I had finished her, she had a great sounding exhaust system, turned heads, won prizes at shows and we had some wonderful times in her until John got to BIG for the rear seat.

I lover that bit of extra power from my 160 sun storm.

My F was my first modern MG sports car, the ride was fantastic and she was a fab introduction to the world of modern open top motoring.

The MGB was my first MG, she was white and had a Webaso roof. We had some great times in her.

I come form a poor stock so Ive only ever had 2 cars (types of car) despite coming up for 40 in a few years (got first car when I was 25)

1st . 1994 Peugeot 306 XL - Pile of junk-deathtrap
2nd. 2000 MGF 1.8 MPi (x2)..- 1st one -pile of junk...2nd one...happiness in car shape

My lad comes from poor stock too, on account of me spending all my money on cars :yesnod:

I have never owned a Peugeot pile of junk death trap but I have owned a Ford pile of junk HOW MUCH TO FIX???? death trap :oops:

Current car is by far the best car I've had and the most I've spent on a car.

Leightweight Landrover was great fun - couldn't afford to keep throwing petrol in it though.
I've had 4 Sciroccos, so I guess I must have liked them too!

my fav car had to be my first mgf i still miss driving her but the hydrolastic spheres were leaking.

1 ROVER SDi 3.5 v8 SE (moded with 4 barrel holly ect )
2 mk3 cortina with a 3.1 v6 shoe horned into the front
3 mk 2 ford mondao 2ltr vteck with moded engine
4 ford fiesta pop with 1.6 cvh escort wngine shoe horned in
5 mgf


sorry for the f being 5th but after all the trouble the fun whent

but there seems to be a trend all converted engines lol
astra going to be fitted with red top 2ltr turbo next year about 340bp mmmm lovely

Much like Mark the classic MG went to make room (and money) for the MGF

I've had so many and very few have been poor so I'm not going to list a top 5!

I've driven loads of different things, but owned relatively few, I suppose my favourites in order would be

1: George 1997 Mk1 MGF vvc in charcoal- a keep for life car, until he got smashed up on the M6
2: Ophelia 2003 MGTF 135 in spectre- so girly, so sexy, I smile EVERY time I get in or out of her! :woohoo:
3: Percy my first car an old X reg (1980?) 850 Polo in red that I slept in for 2 weeks when I first went to college as there was no accommodation! Percy taught me a lot about driving and NEVER let me down :thumbsup:
4: Gregory a 1986ish Golf, also red, that was a great drive until some idiot wrote it off for me and wrecked my back at the same time :rant:
5: PJ my current 2003 Toyota Corolla 1.6VVT that I've had from new. It has been amazingly reliable, is still surprisingly nippy and has carried anything and everything from loads of wood to mopeds! As a family car, I'd have another one tomorrow...sexy? perhaps not, but I still love him! :oops:

Well the first is easy....

1st. DeepBlue - a 2004 Royal Blue TF160
2nd. Ester - a Ford Focus ST in Performance Blue
3rd. The Beast - a 1974 LandRover SWB that I converted to 90 bodywork and MG Metro seats.
4th. Vicky - a 2004 Vauxhall Vectra 2.2 dti.
5th. Elvin - our 2L Ford Sierra

Our 2005 1.5td Kangoo Van should be in there somewhere as she has been fantastic and covered many miles, often moving tools and MG bits around the country. Effectionately known as the MG support vehicle. But it is a Van, not a car.
