Right, so far I have fitted TT Mk4 exhaust, 52mm TB and K&N filter.
My question, do I need to be wary of auto box before going any further?

Probably... I have 633 cams, ported and polished head, standard 48mm TB as im told its better for torque and shouldnt change it on the Auto (by the chap that did the Ported and polished head), have a TT Mk4 exhaust too, and running stock filter / intake... i have problems with over fueling, so have bought an emerald ECU which is going on the car in a few weeks. will get it dyno'd but expect it to be making about 145-150bhp ish once the emerald is set up right...
Not wanting to risk it any further, as upgrading the Stepspeed box is about £1800 to bullet proof it!

PS: as mines over fueling so much it pops and bangs nicely on overrun! , does yours?
down side is im getting 28mpg at the moment instead of the 44mpg i was getting before mods!

Yes, pop and bang on overrun, nice.
Seems I may have to start saving, most of what I have done so far has been on a limited budget
