I know that Saint Russell is very busy and as CJJ has said he normally responds right away, he could be on holiday, keep trying ~ having spent so much money on the head it is worth getting a Moto-Build water pump, they are twice the price of the standard one but have a brass impellor which does not rust and fall off!! the hydraulic tensioners do not need replacing (unless its missing) it is the manual ones that must be replaced with the cambelt. i assume that you are also upgrading the bottom rail, some stainless steel underfloor pipes are a good idea too (£60)

Russell normally likes wonga as well as copious amounts of tea!

Didnt know about the motobuild water pump, will get that...
are there any other mobile mechanics who can come to surrey/hants/west sussex border as the car is currently sorn, on axle stands, and i need to get it fixed ASAP...
have been trying to get hold of russel for 3 weeks now...

Oz.

If it wasn't for the adjustable cams then I'd be able to help out, never done them before so wouldn't know where to start :dunno: The rest is easy enough if not a little time consuming :yesnod:

There are plenty of mobile mechanics, but not many of them know the k-series and that could be a recipe for disaster.

yeah, i need someone who knows Dave Andrews and the K's inside out... i have what dave considers the most reliable head gasket and stretch bolts, so need someone who knows what they are doing to install them.

That was the type recommended to me too, from a few engine builders.
