Exhaust upgrade
After 4 years of droning exhaust I finally got round to replacing it with a used super sports exhaust I picked up
The began the list of whilst I'm in theres.
If I need a new Flexi I may as well get a new a stainless manifold and down pipe.
If I can get to the ARB I may as well give the mounting a tidy up and put some new polyurethane bushes in there
I planned to re using my cat but turns out it was collapsing, so had to replace that and didn't even try to get the old sensor out
May as well replace the heat shield and use all new mounting hardware
It's pretty much finished at this point so I can stop shoveling money at it!

That looks very tidy.
I had similar surprise with my first TF. I'd just assumed the box needed a repair but it was beyond help. Removing it revealed the cat was in very bad shape with both it's flanges separated from the ends. With that out of the way, half the downpipe then promptly fell off so I was in for all 3 parts but had only budgeted for the box..

Quality products, properly fitted, are worthy investments, if you are with the vehicle for the long haul.
Sadly although these investments will add to the value of the car, you will never recoup the outlay if the car is moved on sooner rather than later.
My system came off a scrapped car & was no more than twelve months old, the scrapyard paid the car’s owner less for the lot than the owner had spent on the system.
That car gave up a number of other useful items, all of which will be off over the high road very shortly.
