Glad to see the clock fitted. now you know why I was not about to attempt fitting it at The Pod :P .

Well for my trip down to Sussex it seems "Blue 33" only returned 34mpg ................................... ahhhhhh I think that cruising at 3500 rpm might have had something to do with that plus the sharp acceleration off the roundabouts. Being slightly more gentle witht eh trottle would have returned more no doubt. The original plan was to drive gently at about 55-60 MPH but the road works and diversion at peterbourough put paid to that idea as we lost so much time we had to get more of a move on to get across the QE11 bridge by 06:00.

It's been a while since we've done an update. So we thought we'd do a big one - over the next few days!

Part 1 covers what we've been up to since Santa Pod.

Parts 2 and 3 will release our points for October, November and Challenges 6,7 and 8.

Is the MR2 still in the lead, with the MGF last? Has the S2000 made any gains? Who got sick in a simulator and who missed an event due to 'work commitments'? Find the answers to these questions, and more, here:

http://www.lemons365.co.uk/car-reviews-news-blogs/

And if you feel like joining in the fun, don't forget we're at Loomies Cafe on the 21st of Feb for our Concours d'Lemons.

Part 2 is up! I'm still not winning :(

Part 3 has the MPG Test scores. On a positive, spent an hour taking my door apart and putting it back together again. The door handle works again now! woohoo!

So, apparently I just ‘had to share’ this, according to Alex, who has the Mitsubishi FTO! Sorry, no MGF content.

He wasn't happy with his Santa Pod results (http://www.lemons365.co.uk/santa-pod-part-5/), and it seems he's been justified.. check this out, it's brilliant.. why can't Top Gear be more like this?

Well as I have said before your rolling road run was not right. Unless there are serious issues engine wise I cannot see that you have lost almost 20 bhp. After putting one of my won MGF's on a rolling road I am even more suspicious about your result and in fact wonder if your still has a VVC engine in it and not an MPi. The Rover K4 engine is rather resliiant to losing power unless there is a serious problem unlike the so caller superior Jap Mazda engine which is well documented for not lasting and litrally wearign out as you watch it :omg: . My BIL had a RX3 back in 76-78 and it was a 74 model and was knackered at 4 years old. In fact repair costs were so great he scrapped it.

Saturday was great! Despite some seriously freaky weather to start with (the SLK, MX5 and TT all got stuck in snow), we had beautiful sunshine all day, so really got a chance to put the cars through their paces.. and there's been some big revelations and surprises!

But I can't share those yet, as, apparently, they're still tallying up the points.. in the meantime however, we had a couple of FTO owners come all the way down from Hastings. They wanted to share their experience of a few of the cars, so here goes:

So, as part of our challenge on Saturday we had/have to write reviews of one of the other cars.. i got the RX8 (spoiler alert: yawn).

Becky, who normally drives the TT, got the MGF.. this is what she thought.

Methinks someone familar with the MGF and in one with fair rubber on it should take the lady for a spirited drive ;) it might open her eyes a little :yesnod: .

Better still is for some one familiar with an F to drive the car :yesnod:
Might be the car has faults that effect the handling eg tyres.

Yeah, the tyres need looking at, but there's not much wrong with the handling, she's not the greatest driver... ;)
