Yes Gary, it’s a subject revisited on regular intervals & by just about every contributor who has a grasp on the idiosyncrasies of our cars.
You’ll find my name attached to more than one, I would imagine.
By the intelligent use of the search function, most subjects can be researched & as there’s little, if anything that hasn’t been covered & problem resolved, you can invariably divine an answer to your question before a fellow member replies.
As Cobber has said; the only daft question is the one you didn’t ask & if you use search you might not need to ask that, someone will have asked it years ago.

Bruce, yes the brown/ pink striped wire is on the loom. The short wires betwen the loom plug and the lock itself are different, seem to vary over the years and arent mentioned in the wiring diagrams so I ignore them and go with the loom colours. Its quite a small wire, mostly brown and with a single thin pale pink stripe that can easily be taken for white.
Its the only brown wire with a stripe in the loom there though so easy to spot.
