I am a bit concerned that you can get 450psi into the spheres and the car still sits at c.340mm: a previous owner may have fitted lowering pins so that it sits like the Trophy models. You may be overpressurising the spheres if this is the case. I have never needed more than 400psi and sometimes (with regassed spheres) even at 400 have been accused of looking like a landrover!

At 340mm at full pressure I would deduce that yours must have either had the lowering pins fitted or has had the height of it's cone inserts in the spheres cut down.
I had the latter done when my spheres were regassed and regard it as a definite plus.

Apologies - that was a typo on my part! It was actually 350 PSI or just over - difficult to be precise with the pump I was using. I'm going to give it a couple of days for the pressure to equalise between front and back and then see if I can get any more height by adding a little more fluid. On the plus side, I couldn't find any leaks and the car's suspension definitely has more compliance in it now.

I also got in touch today with someone who knew the car when it belonged to the person who sold it to the bloke I bought it from. I'm trying to track down its service record and security card as these are both missing from the paperwork. It's a long shot but worth asking if he ever had it and whether he passed it on.
Has anyone got a security card that they wouldn't mind scanning (and obviously removing their car's data from)?
I'm going to get my car's security info via PScan and would like to reproduce the document for its paperwork file.

If you draw empty on security card scan, I can send you scan of Rover security card. I do not have MG one....
