I now have this unit and have run through what it can do, so here's a few photos and instructions.
This is the unit itself.

You attach it via the technozen lead to the diagnostic port which is top right of the fusebox under the steering wheel.

The lead has a switch left for alarm settings/right for ecu settings.
I'm starting with the alarm functions so switch to the left.

You plug in with the ignition off. The screen should light up and eventually show this symbol.

Press enter.

In this photo you can also see the buttons for scrolling up and down and the return button.
At this point you will be met with this screen.

You must now leap the hurdle of entering the super secret password. I will, of course, only supply this password for a deposit of £100.

After the password you will get this list. Scroll down to Rover and press enter.

Now you choose remotes(inc EKA (emergency key access))- lead switch to left
or EMS for ecu faults etc. - Lead switch to right.

Pick your model and press enter.

The unit will now ask you to turn the ignition on.

Turn the key to position 1.

If successful you will get this screen(or similar)

Click on Read EKA Code

I was going to do a complete run through, but the procedure changes depending on the car and the Mems type, so instead I'll just highlight what you can do with the t300 as well as recover the eka code.
You can change your eka code to something easier to remember.

You can programme remote fobs.

The T300 is not difficult to operate. :nonod: The instructions come up on the screen to lead you through each operation.

Apparently, there is a token system in the machine - each time fobs are coded uses 1 token. There are 100 tokens in the machine and I am contacting the vendor about what happens when the 100 are used up.

I see the tokens however I just programmed up 2 fobs and the tokens still say 100 no change ,so hopefully it will remain that way :)

Thanks to Andy for all his help with the T300 :) :drive:
