The other problem is there are some customers who are still on the old pscan.eu software. The upgrade sometimes works and well and sometimes doesn't. The solution is to create a new empty folder c:\pscan.uk and start again with the software from here http://pscan.uk/install/install.html

Thanks for the advice. The computer is running Windows XP so perhaps safest to stop with the old driver, at least it works once the connection was checked. Bearing in mind that pscan will only allow two downloads (to two different computers) would not downloading a newere version alongside an existing version rather than replacing count as second download and so block an attempt to put the program on a second computer?
