Brand new here and first time MGTF owner! Help needed ref broken windscreen wipers:
I bought the car knowing that wipers had failed. Apparently they had been noisy and then just stopped. before I viewed the car. But the seller gave me a second-hand wiper assembly - motor and linkages. I thought it'd be an easy job to swap the old for the new. Unfortunately the 'new' set up had an old (female)plug on it and my car has a newer 'male' plug (I confess I didn't know that there was a difference until I came to test the new motor and linkage. I got around this (regrettably in hindsight) by cutting the plugs off and connecting the assembly via a connector block. It didn't work! I have no idea if the new set up works at all or whether it's my DIY wiring. I'm now thinking the best way forward is to put it into a garage and have them sort it out? Any advice from those far more learned than I? ‏ — feeling sad
