I took the banjo bolt out of the left rear brake and no fluid came out. The right rear has fluid.

Any thoughts on this? I'm thinking either a blockage (woukd seem steange) or something to do with ABS or master cylinder.

    Makes no sense to me.

  • I'll answer my own question in case someone has the problem.

To separate the plug from the backing plate you push the lug outwards and then you can pull the plug upwards and the out to separate. You can then separate the 2 halves of the plug. Wasn't obvious to me.

Specifically the green and grey connections behind the ECU. I cannot separate them.

I have tried to separate the from the steel surround but no luck, and I have tried to just separate them by pressing on the side closest in the photo (Which releases the clip and I have then tried to release with a screwdriver) and pushing outward on the side next to the surround. Must be something simple

I have just bought a non running Spedspeed. The auto has lost oil and the oil pump cover plate has been pushed out. I can only imagine by a leak past the O rings unless there is some other way of oil getting out of the pump?

I have not taken off the oil pan yet, 2 of the bolts seem very inaccessible just above the subframe, no one mentions this. I assume a small ring spanner is what is required.

    Any comments?
