Where is the number plate going or are you using a sticker on the body above the vent?

That was the plan... On track days fold the plate to get maximum air flow in the front

The front splitter on my build serves a few functions.. But main is to cover the tow point to keep MOT man happy.. Yes the tow point is strong enough to pull the car on.. Built front scratch..


Splitter is made from 3mm sheet aluminium.. But the leading edge needs an edging strip for MOT regs..so figured why not try red.. As there are a few other red eternal bits..

The splitter was full depth right the way across then after finding this pic.. I decided to cut the centre section back..









The bumper was a brand new Motobuild LE500 fibre glass copy.. Chopped about and customised to suit me.. Much bigger opening in the front now.. The 'legs/fangs' have threaded inserts in them and the splitter bolts up into it.. The splitter is one sheet of 3mm.. Just cut back in the centre..

Will it add down force at speed? No idea.. But main thing was to cover tow point

I've had four people now ask me if I can have a mould taken of it and them buy copies...

Yeah but... no but... you could do limited numbers of the splitter and number them so each one would be unique. .
Like DD mk1/1, DD mk1/2 or something similar...
Then you could change the splitter slightly and call it DD mk2/1. I'm sure this idea is a winner!

Don't think there's a market for the front bumper..

But think if the pod I'm making works as I hope.. There will be call for that.. So may have a chat with a company about copying it and making copies..
