Polished arm finished



Painted the chrome rings green... As I don't want any chrome on the outside of my car... Also tinted then lens a bit





Light output not affected much.. If any



The Mk2 headlight is coming on a treat... Almost up to standard... Again with light tinting of the lenses

the vision in my head of this car is coming together and i must say what a vision this is going to look amazing once its all done.. in my eyes and vision i think its going to look like its been style by somebody from tvr

I want it to look unique... Mean... Racey..

I'm making it up as I go along... So what the final car will actually look like is anyone's guess..

Pop up one weekend for a cuppa Craig and have a look at my heap for real

Had a few hours on the 'wreck' last 2 days..

Scrapped the ignition barrel and steering lock

Work started on the rear bumper/rear diffuser.. Exhaust mock up in place


BMW Z4 indicators on




F1 inspired steering wheel finished and wired.. Including built in sequential shift lights

Going to 'French' in some water proof push buttons into the door here.. To pop the bonnet/boot



The two red lights above are marker lights for when the doors are up

Early days on the pod mock up.. But plan is with it up it'll make a water tight roof.. Using standard roof and rear section removed.. But roof down the pod covers it to loose the 'pram' look

Fans are here for the custom rad..

2x 12" high CFM fans.. Will be controlled via the Emerald.. With manual override..

Will have 2 LEDs inside the car too so they light up when fan(s) running

The air con will use second rad fan.. As per standard set up

They look the same as the ones I fitted



Your rad must be taller as I only got the 10" ones

Last 6 months of the build now (should be!)

Started the sound install so that I can get the interior panels off for flocking

Got 2 weeks off end if this month to get body finished and painted.. Then it's all new door seals, glass and get it water tight

Wiring loom to finish.. Fluids in and then fire it up

The RX8 seats need a fair bit of work so likely will have an old pair of F seats fitted for first few months.. To get teething troubles sorted and run some miles on it before it can be mapped properly

I'm going to update the build thread on FaceBook only from now on.. You don't have to join the group to view it.. But by all means you can join if you wish..

I've stopped posting on dot org as there are so many who do nothing but knock or post negative crap.. All they read it for is to try to identify something they can point out is wrong etc..

Looking forward to MGF20 next year.. And a summer of meets/shows and enjoying the car..
