If you had said MGB GT era I might have had a clue...
Shotgun approach, then:
Something to do with the Indian premier, Mohandas 'Mahatma' Gandhi?
A Mardi Gras Festival? Which of course you topless lovers would enjoy.
The Marvin Gaye Live album?

I should have made it Mardi Gras - that would have been much more fitting!
Your 'shotgun approach' has worked as I was indeed looking for the second live album from Marvin Gay - Marvin Gay Live! Released on 17th June 1974 by Tamia Records.
Oh shoot, now I have to think of another question. Nevermind, anything to do with MG saloons will mean you having to research distasteful subjects so here goes:
The ultimate modern MG saloons in my opinion were the ZT 2.5L KV6 models.
However, to differentiate the 160 2.5L from the 190 2.5L there were some differences mechanically; two of the most notable being to do with the air inlet system and the brakes.
On the 190:
Beginning with the induction system, the air cleaner has an 80mm diameter intake duct in place of a 70mm duct, as on the 160, and a new intake diffuser. This provides a smoother airflow with less than half the usual pressure drop; it has also been tuned for a more sporting induction sound.
Internal engine changes include a new inlet cam profile, advancing the inlet valve opening by 4°, and improved porting.
A further contribution to the performance boost comes from a new exhaust system, with 60mm diameter pipework in place of 57mm.
Also worth noting is that the front brakes are uprated as well and suspension and the chassis have a lot of adjustments too. Plus the 190 pulls higher revs for a given speed.
Correct on the air intake, regarding the hose diametres, but what was the specific improvement to the braking system of the 190?
However, not sure of your source but I thought the chassis (?) or floorpan was identical to the 160 and the suspension componentry was identical in terms of spring rates and damper stiffness. The steering rack was slightly quicker iirc, but the gearbox was not as nice to use on the 190 as it was lower geared in the low gears to boost acceleration, but higher geared in the high gears to boost top speed so really needed a 6 speed box compared to the more evenly matched spacings of the 160 5spd.
Correct on the brakes and whether by design or coincidence, most likely the former, the brakes will fit the new MG6 making it possible to improve braking peformance.
