I haven't taken mine off yet. It's got 6 months to run and I want to get my money's worth!

What to do with my shiny tax disc holder?????
Possibly a TBar members disc??????

Here in France I have to ask what's a tax disc and what's it do?

We don't have them we just pay for traffic free motorways and smooth roads.

It's the governments way of squeezing money out of already taxed motorists.

Little disc that must be purchased and displayed to drive on our beautiful roads!!

It was originally set up to pay for the upkeep of the roads but is now called vehicle excise duty as it's not used for that anymore.

Up until now it was a good bargaining chip when buying a used car but now, for many it's just a pain in the ass!!

I bought a jag with 10 months tax on it which knocked the price of the car after refund Down by £175.
I don't pay it as my wife is disabled and we get it free.

but don't you have a higher tax on petrol then?

Edit: it's cheaper than in many other countries... european fuel prices

I just took mine out but as it looked odd with nowt in the bottom corner I did this!!

I'll keep the holder it's got a little pouch for my breakdown card, handy when driving an MG
