Diff bearings

I have replaced both diff seals in an attempt to stop leaks,there is movement on the diff bearings the gearbox works with no problems,as I have already reconed all of the running gear and engine i don’t fancy having to drop the subframe again ,my question is has anyone removed the gearbox without doing so
