I think you should stick to your soft top as there are so many problems you can encounter with a hard top,.....

you never know when you may need it

Which side?

Well my mrs said she would like to go to one of those safari parks where you can drive through....went years ago as a kid...west midlands safari park...dad payed extra and you had a tape player with Johnny morris giving you the rundown on each enclosure.has you drove to a set speed...poor sod in a hillman avvenger getting his vinyl roof torn off along with a ariel and wipers....bugger that my dad said as we accelerated away...the syncronization of Johnny morris es recording was lost has we went into the lion enclosure and old Johnny was still ranting about the baboons...we will go in the mg I said and we will have the hardtop on......some uses then....do these safari parks still allow you to drive through like that?????.

Yes those baboons were trouble makers.

Johnny morris didn't recommend opening your doors and fighting the buggers off.

Confuse them by taking the wipers off before you enter the compound....

I wouldn't take my own car through a safari park, that's what coach trips are for.

No bother for me also. The top comes off next month and will be stored to the rear of the garage on wall hooks.

I was tempted to take it off today as the weather has been just glorious, but hey, it is no big deal, my wife gives me a hand and is on or off and stored in less than 10 minutes.

Unfortunately I think the TF looks really elegant and attractive with the hard top.

So much so that I really want one. The trouble is that I only use my TF when it's roof-down weather (which is luckily most of our spring, summer and autumn) so it would spend all its time hung up in the barn/garage.

I still want one though - perhaps just to 'complete the set' or to put it on occasionally to admire it!
What's that black canvas thing behind the seats for?
