Do I need EP80 or EP90 or something else ;)

There is an article by Roger Parker in this months MG Enthusiast about refilling the Rover PG1 gearbox.
The reccomended oil is Texaco MTF94 which is a fully synthetic oil and can be obtained from Sussex Classic Car Parts for £10.73 per litre plus delivery. the alternative is Castrol Syntrans 75W/90 fully synthetic oil which costs £13.00 a litre in Halfords. You will need 3 litres, I did a full drain on mine (left it a week to fully drain out) and used 2.3 litres to fill up to the correct level. You should also replace the drain plug washer (£0.72 each)

Opie Oils are much cheaper than Halfords and dont charge delivery they could seriously affect the gearbox!!!

To anyone else reading this ~ Please do not use anything else other than MTF94 or Castrol Syntrans as
