Deffinetly just sits on the carpet. I suppose you could put a couple of rivets through to the carpet to hold it down. Mines light weight as I've cut a hole in it to see the engine. So would only be partially guillotined.

I've wondered about MDF as I've removed the crappy roof insulation from under the carpet. Would it cope with the heat, or might it warp?

On a second thought MDF would get wet n damp then hot and would be crap. Plastic might be better.

How about just fitting over the old insulation ?

It just sits on to the carpet don't remove anything
Under it and it can be bolted to the engine cover
Quite easily
Let me know how many want one and ill get on to
It as soon as I can get another sheet
But I will recommend a piece on the floor mats I've got mine
Done they look tidy

No Leigh all you do is place it in , screwdriver was to get carpet around the edges mate

How does it fit to the mats ?

Whats the cost for the lot ?

Are the smoothed off on all the edges ?
