LMAO! Looking at the before & after pics of the ivy I can just imagine you standing there with a cuban cigar sticking out your mouth holding a couple of rifles at the ivy & saying in your best Arnie voice "This time it's personal!" :gunsmilie:

ha ha yes it was very very personal, I am carrying a few scars from the battle, some physical and some mental :skeptical:

How about a montage of old F/TF parts dynabolted to the wall in true modern art style?

Jasmin, grows like an ivy but without the weight and smells nice, when flowering.
I also like the idea Bacchus had, I have a stack of parts, starting with front wishbones, cams................

its good how people all come together in this ropey weather, I have spent the past 4-5 day pushing, digging and getting pushed or dug out the village....... utter maddness!

today is better, but it seems a bit odd not not needing a shovel everytime you drive :p

any one got any suggestions for alternative wall coverings organic or otherwise.

might even get a poll out of this if I get enough suggestions ;)

please bear in mind it can be a squeeze past the car so no roses or any other pr1ckly plants

edit; swear filter kicked in on the word pr1ckly

If you can still get it - how about some flock wallpaper? That would look quite special!

Ivy, work of the devil! It destroyed my fence, glad to get rid of the stuff! Good job it didn't damage the car.

yeah that wall is pretty ugly but the ivy had been there for many many years, the main trunk was huge.

I am giving some thought as to whether to grow something else there or to paint the wall with a textured masonary paint.
