Hi all,
well today i have spent best part of a hour trying to fit one of these
into my MgTf but I have a feeling that the DVD player is too deep as there is a metal bar stopping it from going all the way down.
Can anyone help me or show me how to fit one...

thanks

Could you offer up old head unit to side of new one see if its different or even measure it.Ithought it would be a single din size to fit into any stanard opening,

I thought that I had a similar issue but discovered that it was more the angle that I was pushing the unit back at, try tilting down it feels wrong but once in place it's not noticeable. Mine was a different unit so I may have been lucky, which console do you have as this can vary the radio position?

i have tried a few different angles but doesnt seem to sit all the way in. It may be the wires which are getting in the way but cant seem to move them either...

There is loadsa room in the player bay behind. Daft question: my new sony player came with the fitting cage around the case: you dont need this as the set will slide into the existing cage. I had a wtf moment until i noticed!

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

We've an ice section in the how to guides area but it's pretty sparse at the moment.

I.C.E - IN CAR ENTERTAINMENT
Door Speaker Renovation - Renovating the door speakers.

Maybe you could take some pics, once you've figured out how to fit the thing, and help us out with a new guide? It's appreciated. :)

I used to run a car audio business, those ripspeed screens are a nightmare to fit, the only way to fit it easily is to take off the side panels of the centre console so you can pull the wires through from behind, as someone here said make sure the old cage has been removed first, also secure the new cage in the car, you will need a tiny screwdriver to get the cage off the ripspeed, then put the cage in the dash, bend out the metal sides to secure the cage, connect the radio loom, and then you can start pulling the wires through from behind, once fully in put the 4 tiny screws back in to secure the radio, that's all, it's not easy, but it will fit with a bit of effort, feel free to message me if this isn't clear enough

DVD players in cars are neat, are you going for the screens in the headrests?
