Trying to get my bearings here :)

Looking round the net there seems to be a few different makes of bearings for the TF ranging from £10 upto £60. Made by MGR through to QH

Now then, which ones are the best?

If you get the bearing spec: usually stamped on the inner race you can then contact industrial bearing suppliers, such as Hayleys, Midland Bearings etc. rather than motor factors.

Timken, RHP and SKF are all top brands extensively used in industry.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

From what I have heard the brand name bearings are good, the far eastern manufactured bearings are
best avoided, however like most things produced there (and anywhere for that matter) it all comes down to quality control.
Unfortunately, bearings are one thing where lack of quality control only becomes apparent when they fail, :slapme: so it is probably prudent to buy the better ones the first time. (very good advice from John!)
