Z-series Magnette, was viewed unkindly by the MG purists at the time of launch due to using the Austin B series engine, rather than the XPAG Morris/MG engine that was used in it's stablemate Wolseley. The ZA and ZB Magnettes were the only two "MKs" of Z Magnettes, but were superseded by the Farina styled MKIII and MKIV Magnettes.
