Hi Ben, when you're ready, you could always put a 'wanted' post up here with what you're looking for and would like in your next car. You could put a price tag on it too if you like.bensewell wrote: I was on autotrader and there's a lot around I don't mind travelling either will update you all when the assessor has been round
It's totally up to you what you buy of course. But perhaps a car with a known background might be more appealing. If one of the long term members were selling a car they might like it to go to a good home. It's just a thought that occurred to me. You can always say no if you see something more appealing during your searching.
It's my guess that some people selling their F or TF's come here as 'guests' to have a look anyway.
It's your choice. But the offer's there if you want it, whenever you're ready.

Make a wanted post here with your criteria, when you're ready, and we'll get right on it.

Overall it doesn't look that bad but without seing under the bonnet it's hard to tell.
Also does the car still drive straight?
If it is only what one can see in the photos I'd be tempted not to claim but do the work myself, there are no specialised tools involved, and avoid increased premiums. Also what excess do you have, if it is a large one you may be out of pocket going through insurance compared to DIY.

Might be needing your links soon all being well
