To Romania... Anyone else watch Top Gear tonight?? What a fantastic bit of road.... I sooooooooooooo want to go.....

Was thinking the same myself - some great driving roads for the F/TF:yesnod:

Absolutly fantastic road, mind you I didnt like the look of some of those sheer drops lol

A bit of fear tightens the grip on your seat.

I spent five years working in Romania, so I can give a bit of advise. Great people, good food, plenty to drink reasonable Hotels, fantastic scenery, ABSOLUTE RUBBISH ROADS. How they got those cars up there without suspension collapse I dint know. Wait a couple of years until the planned motorways are in ( EEC sponsored ) Then give it a go. Problem will be that hundreds will be heading for that pass.

Just come to Cumbria, instead.

Nice road there David.... There are some nice ones in Yorkshire too, the Hemsley to Stoksley road is very nice.. (Sorry if I have spelt those too places wrongly)

Yes - so do I. Was thinking how good my MGF would sound in that tunnel with its Milltek:whistle:

If you knew how that palace was built, no way would I drive under it. The BBC H&S boys must have stayed at home. Did you notice the clips of the boys on the open road ? Well I think it was closed because no one passed them. Yea, serious, they go like bats out of hell between speed checks.
Now if you do go (and I can recommend you do) try this place.

Its the summer palace in Sinia, 2hr north of Bucharesti, Fantastic. And to add to your street Cred its in Transylvania.
As for roads This is not far from Sinia,

Problem is as you round corners you could get this,

Just to give you some Idea every second car is an Audi or BMW, German produce is very popular. But 4x4s are almost the only type of cars that can manage the road surfaces.
