I'll give you that John! The TA and MGF Series both culminated in the MGTF. The original 1953 TF was the last of the T Series dating back to 1936, and was by now slow and outdated, thus the T was dropped. And of course the MGF also became the TF!

It's the firing order of an MG 6 cylinder engine missing on cylinders 1 and 2

Well I had got as far as the fact that the 1953 TF was introduced announced on 19th Oct 1953 - not 4653. I'm working on it in a manner of speaking!!
