Honestly you dirty buggers shame on you for reading this thread!

But seriously I finally lost my scrap yard virginity! It's taken 23 years but today I took my first trip to a local scrappies and OMG they are soooo much fun! :woo:

I picked up two BRG air intakes, a brake plunger, two nearly new windscreen wipers, a fuse box with all the fuses in and a spare expansion cap all for £6!!! WHAT A BARGAIN!!!!!!!!! :piratebang:

Can't believe I've missed out on all the fun for sooo long! Definitely got some catching up to do!

Anyone else got some great bargains at a scrappy?

got a new rocker cover and an injection manifold for a fiver not so long ago

one of the ZR guys got a full set of seats from a 400 for £15 lol bargin

There was a VVC engine in one of the Fs there but without knowing what's wrong with it it's a bit too risky I reckon.

Although interestingly enough there was an F there that had clearly rolled over onto its roof in an accident and I have to say if you'd have been in the drivers seat I reckon you'd have been ok as the cabin was practically untouched... it just suprised me is all.

high torsional rigidity handy for rolling cars through hedges and 350bhp V-TEC engines

as for the VVC... you could always pop the VVC mechs on your mpis head and it wouldnt matter what was wrong with it

Well, I think the claim was scrappy.

Been playing in scrappys for years. They used to be far more fun than they are now. Too organised for my liking.

I don't know the though, the scrappy I went to just chucked a high vis vest at me and sent me on my way!

Which yard did you go to?

I went to Bridges at Peese Pottage the other week, they didn't have any Fs.

That's the one we went too...they had two F's (which looked like they have been there for a while!) and a newer one in today

They were all in the upper part of the yard though

That could be rather interesting without swapping the inlet camshafts over
