Cool and still a great looking car. The 240Z was the best selling sports car of the 70's

Unfortunately Datsun took this great car and in the form of the 260Z made it softer, heavier and slower before they completely lost the plot with 280Z.

The 240Z was designed by Albrecht Goertz who also designed the beautiful BMW 507.

A mate used to have one of these. We used to pile in it to go to darts and pool matches. Memories.

Cool if you can find one that isn't a pile of rust! LOVE the BMW 507 by the way...

Fantastic cars! PQD is correct, the 240 was the one to have. the later models got progressively worse.
In the early 80's a friend's brother had one on loan. It was an ex-race car, still with it's roll cage and quite a hot engine. It was serial number 000011. At the time I could have bought it for $2500. Coulda, woulda, shoulda!
We did have some fun test drives in it though. Fast, nimble, fun!
