Followed this yesterday.

Not seen one for ages!!!

I see one of these inverted corrugated prams each morning on the way to work. Complete with anti nuke sticker on the boot.

It's always nice in classic car season to see the older cars: Humber, Hillman, Triumph on the road.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I used to love my mum's deux chevaux. It was just so... French. The raised gearlever, the plastic guard you needed to put over the front grille when it was cold, the fact that if we overtook a lorry on the motorway there was a 50% chance of the roof deciding to blow off.

Wondering now if that planted the seed for top down motoring in my mind :P

My first car was a 1963 Hillman Imp (Mk1) bought for £130 in 1972. It was green and I've just found one for sale:

£2800 and the reserve is not met! Yes, I loved that car but if I was going to spend that sort of money I'd buy Gizmo! (and have change).

It's now got to the stage where modern toss like the cavalier and the sierra are now rare.

When was the last time you saw a mk1 sierra?

Opel Mantra.. Can't remember the last time I saw one of them.
There was a opel monza on a rally we did a few years back, but it died on one of the mountain passes, but they've always been rare.

Great link! I've just had a 15 minute nostalgia trip looking at the other '60s & '70s stuff they have for sale. You need to be a banker on a bonus though to afford some of them and are they too precious to use? I did wonder if I would get a discount if I offered to proof read their ads - haven't these guys heard of spell checker?

Invalid or non-existent item ID.Our first TF was £10K at that time you could get a mint MK1 Escort Mexico or RS2000 for that, thats what I would've got but Barbara always wanted an MG & we're now on our third I always drool over Mexicos & RS2000's at car shows though.

Now if the lottery numbers come up
