Same as a lot of people I browsed the net for info on my newly accquired MGF and came across all the forums. This seemed to be friendliest and most specific, so I joined.....

First post was looking for an OEM gearknob to replace the chrome one that was on, as I wanted to put the car back to 'original' spec

Afer some friendly advice and 18 months later:

All exterior lights replaced/modified, airscoops, front splitter, 11 spoke wheels, AP racing calipers, flag badges.
52mm throtle body, Pipercross Viper and TT Mk4 exhaust.
Seats, doorcards, console, airvents all replaced/modded plus lots of MS add ons including roll hoops.

The chrome gearknob was never removed

David gave me an invite the other day on Maggys run.

I've visited many times before directed by google and other forum posts.

A lot of subjects are repeated elsewhere,but there does seem to be a less informal and more friendly atmosphere here.

I think I wandered over during `Forumgate' and stayed. I then re registered when the forum changed hands as my original login died...

Just needed a change as org tends to get a bit samey after a while as every new member has the same enquiries, entirely understandable and its not so long ago it was me asking the basic noob questions but it does feel like groundhog day a lot of the time
