Orphink you are measuring the wrong part of the throttle body. :nonod:

48mm or 52mm refers to the size of the opening at the butterfly (the round piece on the spindle which opens and closes in the center the throttle body, i.e. the narrowest part).

There should be a code stamped on the body, see the photo below;

Yep, dynamics 101:

A throttle assembly is a convergent/divergent Venturi. Pressure reduces thus velocity increases at the narrowest point. Then conditions equalise but minus head loss.

Dimension is expressed as the factor of maximum constriction.

Time for bed.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Invalid or non-existent item ID.Just seen another alloy throttle body on eBay.

After messages he did confirm the TV1 code and I confirmed it was 48mm, he then said

"Hi I wouldn't no I do no I cost me 186 pounds when I put it on my mg f "

Check before you part with any money that you are getting a 52mm throttle body if that is what you want.
