Managed to fix the old one. The hour hand now moves when I try and set the clock :-)

Aha, But how did you fix the clock, verry interested.

What had happened is that the minute hand was loose on its spindle, so when I tried to set the clock, the minute hand moved but the hour hand didn't...

To fix it I...

Took clock out of console,

Removed black ring and clear plastic cover as per Clive's instructions .

Removed minute hand, reseated with a tiny dab of glue. Allowed it to dry, then refit black ring and cover.

Refit to console.
