we have in our possession a Blue 2002 MG TF Sprint 160 with approx 6,000 miles from new, with hard top also.
The car is immaculate its been garaged its whole life, last MOT was in 2021 SORN since then.

No doubt it will be mint being garaged and unused so condition wise it will be fetching top dollar..decent spec too.
If it were me looking at it and knowing its not been taken out running for half a decade though i'd be thinking It's gonna need a service, belts done, tyres and depending on how its stored, discs and pads which would offset the price a bit from a car that is low milage that is in regular use.
Does it have the extras like A/C as welll as the hard top?
It all depends on what someone in the market for a TF is willing to pay though - typically folks buy these as cheap fun.
being its a 160 though its a desirable model and would likely shift quickly at £6k.. you will get folks offering less that dont really care about the 6k milage and you might get someone paying more if they really want that particular spec.
At this stage its all about the buyer and what they want. for example, I know I paid extra for my TF last year as it was THE spec I wanted.

Replied by [email protected] on topic Pricing Advice For MG TF 160
Posted 3 months 3 weeks ago #222467Eventually I may purchase or exchange a MGB GT for a TF, but this has come too early for me.
However, I think the price would be dependant upon whether the car could be legally driven or trailered away after purchase.
A new MOT would be considered essential
From my recent research I’m finding good examples are quite a distance from where I live.
A trip to view would be mandatory, followed by a public transport journey to pick up the car.
In a worst case scenario the price could depressed by a thousand pound.
Good luck with your sale.
regards
Brian

Up until recently, December, I owned a rare Rover 200 BRM press car with just over 21000 miles on from new. I thought about selling it or auctioning it my self. I spoke to KGF classics. Over the phone they offered me what I considered a fair price knowing he was in the buisness of making a profit. He came to view the car and offered me 20% less than he'd offered me over the phone. I knocked him back and he raised his offer to 10% of his over the phone offer. We shook hands at 7.5% less than what he'd offered me ( several times ) over the phone. Here's the thing. He said there was a lot of cosmetic improvements that would need doing and when the staff had asked if the car would be marketed before Christmas he told me there was no chance. The car was for sale in less than a fortnight 2 weeks before Christmas with a mark up of more than 50% of what he'd paid me.
Given my experience, I'd say have confidence in your car being very desirable DO NOT sell to a dealer. (I know they have to make a living ) I believe that if I'd not rushed into a sale I could've made quite a bit more from the sale. Remember you'll only be able to sell it once.
Use Facebook, Instagram, and even a short video on YouTube , That's all a dealer will do. Sell or auction it on car and classic website for free. Contact Pistonheads to see if they'd be interested in a feature of your rare low mileage classic. I wish I had.
As long as you're not in a rush to sell do not sell to a dealer.
